Mocktail Recipes!Christmas Mocktails![]() Berry and mint punch 1½ litres raspberry cranberry juice 3 cups soda water 1/4 cup lime juice (equal to 1-2 limes) 1 punnet raspberries 1 punnet blueberries 1 cup mint leaves 1 extra lime, thinly sliced crushed ice to serve Combine raspberry cranberry juice, soda water, and lime juice in a large jug or punch bowl. Add berries, mint leaves, and lime slices. To serve, half fill glasses with crushed ice and top with punch. Stir and serve. Sparkling mint juleps (a traditional cocktail from the southern states of the USA) 1 cup caster sugar 1/4 cup roughly chopped mint leaves 1 cup water 750ml soda water Ice cubes and mint sprigs to serve Combine sugar, mint leaves and water in a small saucepan. Stir over low heat without boiling until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil and simmer for five minutes. Pour into a small jug and place in the fridge until chilled. Once chilled, strain through a sieve into a large serving jug, add soda water, ice cubes and mint leaves and stir. Creamy cherry smoothie 2 cups cherries, pitted 1 cup vanilla yoghurt 1 litre orange juice Ice cubes Place the cherries, yoghurt and juice into a blender with ice cubes and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses or a serving jug. Icy Red Berry Mocktail 500g strawberries, hulled ½ cup cranberry juice 5 cups lemonade Put strawberries and cranberry juice in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pink Lady 1½ cups Milk 2 tb Lemon juice 1 tb Grenadine 1 tb Sugar, granulated 6 Ice cubes Measure milk, lemon juice, grenadine, sugar and ice cubes into blender. Blend until ice is gone. Lava Flow 100ml pineapple juice 100ml cream ½ banana Dash of cocnut cream ½ cup strawberries Blend all ingredients (except strawberries) with ice until smooth. Simple Sangria 1½ litres grape juice 1 litre soda (or lemonade) ½ pineapple (cut bite sized) 1 orange, sliced 1 tray ice cubes Combine juice and soda in a large jug. Add fruit and ice cubes. Stir and serve. Apple Mojito 75ml apple juice 75ml soda 1 whole lime 1 spring fresh mint leaves 1 tsp Vanillin sugar Add the quartered lime, Vanillin sugar and mint sprigs to a highball glass and muddle with a muddler. Add several ice cubes and pour in the apple juice. Top with soda (adjust to taste), and stir. Garnish with an apple slice and a lime wedge, and serve. Tropical Bliss 1 cup (375 mls) mineral or soda water, chilled 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled 1 banana 9 mint leaves 12 ice cubes Pinch of nutmeg Blend banana, 5 mint leaves, pineapple juice and nutmeg and combine with minerai water. Add ice cubes, garnish each glass with mint leaf, stir and serve immediately. Serves 4. Moonlighting 3 cups (750 ml) unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled 3 tablespoons of strawberry icecream 1 bananas 4 red cocktail cherries Blend ice cream and chopped banana with pineapple juice for 30 seconds. Garnish with cherries and serve immediately. Serves 4. Ginger Sparkle 2 cups (500ml) dry ginger ale 2 cups ginger beer Ice cubes 4 lemon slices Combine ginger ale and ginger beer. Serve as a long drink with ice and garnished with a slice of lemon. Tang of the Tropics 2 cups (500ml) orange juice, chilled 2 cups grapefruit juice, chilled 2 cups pineapple juice, chilled 2 passionfruit: pulp (or tablespoons passionfruit cordial) 4 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons honey 2 cups lemonade, chilled Slices of citrus fruit Combine juice, fruit pulp and honey. Add lemonade, garnish with fruit slices and serve immediately. Serves 2. Strawberry Heaven 2 cups strawberries 3 cups (750ml) orange juice 4 tablespoons sugar (optional) Crushed ice Blend ingredients until smooth. Serves 4. Lemon Sunrise Punch Mint leaves 1 lemon or lime 1 cup (250 ml) unsweetened lemon and lime barley water, chilled 1¼ litres lemon squash, chilled 1¼ litres soda water, chilled Sugar to taste (optional) Set whole mint leaves in ice cubes. Slice lemon or lime thinly. Combine barley water, lemon squash and sugar, drop lemon slices in punch and just before serving, add soda and mint ice cubes. Serves 12. Melon Magic 8 cups watermelon ½ cup (125ml) lime juice ¾ cup unsweetened apricot nectar 3 tablespoons honey (optional) Lime slices for garnish Combine all ingredients in a blender. Serves 12. Black Widow Cola 8 scoops vanilla ice cream 6 tablespoons lime juice Lime slice for garnish Blend ice creem and juice until smooth. Pour into glasses and top with cola. Serves 4. ![]() |
